Obsidian Cheer and Dance will be introducing a new Uniform policy as of February 2022. It is important for children to learn to be in clean, in correct uniform and be well groomed at all times, wearing the appropriate attire for each class in order to achieve the highest results. 

From Tiny’s to Seniors you are required to wear the regulation Obsidian Cheer and Dance training uniform, which you can order through our website here: MERCHANDISE

Why do we require a uniform? Wearing a set uniform to class allows a child to feel secure and part of a team. It looks smarts and prepares a child to do their best in class. Throughout the year we will be offering a range of extra Obsidian merchandise such as team tops, tracksuits, bows and accessories which can be worn in all classes.

All uniform must be purchase through Obsidian Cheer and Dance. Customers are not allowed to make, sell or design their own Obsidian Merchandise or Uniform. This is a form of copyright and will be dealt with in the appropriate manner.

SHOES: Cheerleading - Appropriate shoes: For the time being we are asking all of our Cheerleaders to wear their own clean trainers. We ask that parents ensure children do not come to class wearing these clean trainers and instead bring them in a spare bag. If children are not equipped with the right shoe wear they will be asked to perform barefoot. All competition team members are required to purchase their own Cheer shoes or purchase clean white trainers. Links to appropriate Cheer Shoes are below.

Dance - Appropriate shoes: All competition team members are required to purchase their own Black Split Sole Jazz Shoe for training/competition or contact Head Coach Harriet who can make an order. Half soles can be also worn during training (any colour). Please come to class fully equipped and ready to perform. All recreational classes are so far not required to purchase dance shoes and instead will be asked to dance barefoot. Links to appropriate dance shoes is below.
